We had a fantastic holiday staying at La Nauvrasse. The house is full of charm and quirkiness, but also finished to a high standard, with a modern kitchen and bathrooms, a beautiful swimming pool and a comfortable, relaxing lounge area. We started our days with fresh croissants delivered to the door, and ended them with dinner on the outside terrace as the sun went down. In between, we’d alternate between relaxing around the house and pool, and taking day trips to nearby villages, the beach and horse riding. It’s a great place for a holiday for couples, families and groups of friends and we’ll certainly be staying again.

This is a delightful house with lots of charming, authentic features. The kitchen is spacious and modern, perfect for cooking large family meals. Lovely eating area outside. There is large, child friendly pool, a comfortable lounging area and good Wifi everywhere. Perfect base for exploring the pretty nearby towns and villages and making day trips to the beach. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this to families with children both young and older and am very much looking forward to returning.

Thank you for a lovely stay. My family and I had a wonderful break at La Nauvrasse. The pool was just the place to cool down after a blistering French summer day, with a good set of games for the family to unwind with into the evening. Comfortable beds, nicely laid out kitchen and an easy drive for the supermarket and petrol. There is good wifi too. Some significant heritage sites are within an hour’s drive and several more local market towns and supermarkets are just 20 minutes away. All in all a very enjoyable and comfortable stay.

We stayed in La Nauvrasse in the summer of 2019. It is a delightful place in the midst of beautiful countryside. My boys loved swimming in the pool every day and there are many wonderful places to visit nearby.

I ran up to Le Lac Bleu one evening and it was so beautiful that we took the boys there for a picnic the next day. We also visited the delightful town of St Emilion one afternoon, full of interesting shops and places to eat and taste the local wine. We took a trip to Aubeterre sur Dronne where we visited the amazing monolithic church built inside a cliff (as well as the excellent ice cream/waffle shop!). The children’s favourite place was St Aulaye where there was a clear, warm river for them to swim in, a man-made beach to build sandcastles on, canoes to enjoy life at duck level and finally a delicious pizza from the cafe for lunch. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend the house and location.
